Some Liverpool fans on social media believe that Kostas Tsimikas could replace Andy Robertson at left-back against Manchester City at Anfield today.

Big game today

Liverpool will take on City at Anfield in the Premier League later today.

Robertson is the first-choice left-back for the Reds.

The Scotland international is fit and available.

So, you would expect Robertson to start for the former Premier League champions against the defending Premier League champions.

Instagram hint

However, some Liverpool fans on Instagram think that manager Jurgen Klopp could throw a curveball and start Tsimikas instead.

Why?

Well, because the 25-year-old Greece international has made the following post on Instagram ahead of the match.

Now, Tsimikas could have just made the post as a rallying cry to the Liverpool fans to get behind the team on Sunday.

Liverpool fans’ verdict

However, some Liverpool supporters think that the left-back has dropped a hint that he will get the nod ahead of Robertson.

We have picked seven of the best comments from Instagram, as shown below.

Tsimikas joined Liverpool from Olympiakos in the summer of 2020 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £11.75 million.

The Greece international played just six minutes in the Premier League last season, and has made three starts and one substitute appearance in the league so far this campaign.
