
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that Ibrahima Konate was brilliant against Crystal Palace at Anfield today, as quoted on BBC Sport.
Klopp was impressed by how the 22-year-old played for Liverpool in their 3-0 win against Palace at home in the Premier League this afternoon.
The French central defender, signed from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window, was making his debut for the Reds.
Liverpool boss Klopp was overjoyed with Konate’s debut and has raved about him.
BBC Sport quotes Klopp as saying about Konate: “You can see he is incredibly talented. The potential is outstanding.
“He is used to winning challenges easy. He is young and he played a really good game. Massive. First home game for him.”

Konate was very good at the back for Liverpool and helped the Reds keep a clean sheet.
The youngster was nervy at the start, and that is understandable.
After all, the 22-year-old was making his debut for Liverpool, and that too at Anfield.

However, the defender grew into the game, especially in the second half.
The Liverpool defender had a pass accuracy of 87.3%, won two headers, took 65 touches, and made three tackles, one interception and three clearances.
It was a very encouraging debut from Konate, and fans will be pleased with him.
The youngster will now hope to kick on and establish himself as a key player in the team.
Konate is only 22, and there is potential and room for the central defender to grow and develop as a footballer.
