The Celtic defender backs the Manchester United summer signing to be a success in the Premier League.
Celtic defender Kolo Toure has been quoted as saying by Squawka.com that Eric Bailly will be a success at Manchester United.
Bailly joined Premier League giants United from Spanish club Villarreal in the summer transfer window.
According to The Daily Mail, the Red Devils had to pay Villarreal a transfer fee of £30 million in order to secure the services of the 22-year-old defender.
Former Arsenal and Liverpool defender Toure believes that the young centre-back will be a success working with manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
The 35-year-old former Manchester City centre-back, who joined Celtic in the summer transfer window, has backed the Ivory Coast international to be successful in the Premier League.
“We knew before he came that he has great quality because he was playing with Villarreal,” Squawka quotes Toure as saying about Bailly. “But it takes a lot to come to a big club like United and do what he’s doing right now. He can be a big, big player for United.
“He can be the future for United. What he’s doing right now is amazing and I think his future is really, really bright. He can be up there with the top defenders United have had.
“He’s young and will learn from working with one of the best managers in the world. He can become one of the best defenders in the world.”
Bailly has established himself as an important player in Mourinho’s team and is playing well at the moment.
The United defender has looked strong at the back, and he does seem like a player who could stay at Old Trafford for years.
As for Toure, the former Ivory Coast international defender is doing well at Celtic and has established himself as a key player in Brendan Rodgers’s team.
