Toure’s current deal at Celtic is set to expire at the end of the season.
Kolo Toure has suggested that he does want to extend his contract at Celtic beyond this season, provided that he still has something to offer at Parkhead, the Daily Record reports.
The 35-year-old joined the Hoops on a one-year deal in the summer (via Daily Mail). And while he has not been a regular starter under Brendan Rodgers, he has certainly proved to be a useful squad member during his first few months with the club.

But as his contract begins to enter its final few months, Toure has explained that he would like to stay with the Bhoys next season but only on one condition.
“I hope to stay for next season but for now my focus is just to do the best I can. I want to bring something to this club,” he said, as reported by the Record.
“If I do that I’m happy. Right now I feel I’m bringing something.

“Everybody is very happy with me and if I can carry that into next season it’s going to be great.
“If I’m not bringing anything, you know the way it is – you move.”
While Toure may be well into the twilight of his career, there is surely no doubt that he is a great player to have around the team, given his experience.

It would hardly be a surprise if the former Arsenal and Manchester City man had had an influence on the blossoming partnership that Jozo Simunovic and Erik Sviatchenko have enjoyed this season.
And with a few young defenders trying to make the grade or trying to cement themselves in the first-team – the likes of Kieran Tierney and Eoghan O’Connell are both still learning their trade – Toure’s presence could go a long way to ensuring that they go on to realise their full potential.
