Kolarov’s agent meets with Juventus

Rumours linking Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov with Juventus have increased in volume after a meeting held in Milan.

Juventus have had their eye on Manchester City man Aleksandar Kolarov for some time and a possible move seems to be gathering momentum.

The Old Lady are looking to galvanise their Scudetto-winning squad to go in search of European and domestic glory next season.

Kolarov has been much improved for Manchester City and has strengthened his position at the club, but he will always need to fight for space with City whereas Juventus may be more willing to offer him first-team guarantees.

TheTelegraph claims that Kolarov could miss out on Man City’s Champions League squad for next season if their European squad is cut by four players as a punishment for failure to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

It is possible that City will only be able to select 21 players instead of 25 and Kolarov could be the fall guy – a possibility that may push him towards the exit door.

And it is being reported by Sky Sport Italia that Kolarov’s agent Sergio Berti was in Milan today and met with Juventus directors Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici.

There have been reports that Man City may use Kolarov as a bargaining chip to try and persuade Juventus to relinquish their grip on highly rated midfielder Paul Pogba, but as yet talks with Kolarov seem to be at an early stage.

Juventus’ Serie A rivals Roma are also said to be keen on signing Kolarov, but they appear to be trailing in the race to snap him up.
