It is quickly becoming apparent that Ronald Koeman is not going to be able to achieve his intended goal at Everton.
After a fantastic start to the season all seemed well at Goodison Park, with many lauding Ronald Koeman as the club’s saviour. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, and for the Toffees it came to a screeching halt before it could even really begin.
Ronald Koeman is certainly a talented manager and that much is evident. Unfortunately, a series of events have gone against the Dutchman during his search for success and as we prepare for 2017, there’s a very real chance that this job could be the last we see of Koeman in England for a while.

Koeman enjoys speaking his mind, we know that much. But it also seems as if this is not the squad he desires. The man at the helm has stated that the squad is physically weak, and it does not allow him to utilise them in the manner the 53-year-old wishes.
Everton are stuck in this mentality of playing keep ball and trying to exhaust the opposition to the point where they can break them down, but the problem is how error prone the defenders actually are. Koeman may have got the fitness levels up, but in terms of an actual end product there seems to be no cohesiveness.
Then if you look into the transfer dealings, it all unravels once more. Koeman clearly did not get his intended targets in the summer and as a result, it almost seems like his general attitude has diminished and he’s becoming more bitter by the day.
A big transfer window is needed in January, but even that may not be enough.
