Following a positive start to life at Goodison Park, Ronald Koeman may now be looking at a bad atmosphere at the club.

In recent weeks it’s clear to see that the wheels have fallen off in terms of Everton’s start to the campaign. After some people were initially tipping them for success, things are looking a lot bleaker with the Toffees facing an uncertain future under new manager Ronald Koeman.

The Dutchman himself may not have helped matters, either. His expressive nature when speaking with the media has already caused a few problems, with the main example being his comments about the future of striker Romelu Lukaku.

The question is whether or not this unsettling development has caused a sort of ripple effect at Everton, with other members of the club also coming out and talking about a variety of issues. Lukaku himself in particular stated that another Premier League club made an offer for him in the summer, which is something that just does not need to be discussed outside of the dressing room.

The whole atmosphere at the club right now feels troubled and it’s tricky to put your finger on what it is. Maybe the former Saints boss is partly responsible, but either way it’s his job to try and turn things round ahead of a busy festive period.
