Michael Dawson has said on Sky Sports News (12:31pm, December 26, 2021) that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks should not leave Spurs in the January transfer window.

The Sky Sports pundit believes that Winks is a very talented player who should work hard and stay at Tottenham.

The former Tottenham central defender seems to be a huge fan of the 25-year-old.

Dawson said about Winks: “Harry Winks looked like he was wanting to be out the door.

“Roll your sleeves up. You are at an incredible football club. Why would you want to leave?

“Where are they going to go? They are not going to go to a bigger club than Spurs. Knuckle down. He is a real talent.”

What should Harry Winks do about Tottenham future?

Winks is a very good midfielder who has come through the Tottenham ranks.

The 25-year-old struggled for regular playing time under Jose Mourinho and Nuno.

Even under Antonio Conte, there is no guarantee that he will start in each and every game..

However, in our opinion, Winks should try his best to get into the team and should not leave Tottenham in the January transfer window.

We know that Newcastle United are interested in signing Winks in the January transfer window.

However, Eddie Howe’s side are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship.

On the other hand, Tottenham are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four this season.

Would Winks enjoy his football at Newcastle?

In our opinion, Winks should stay at Tottenham until the end of the season and then take it from there.
