Some Leeds United fans have been reacting after the club announced that their anti-European Super League shirts will be displayed in the National Football Museum.
The museum, based in Manchester, displays some of the best and most important pieces of football memorabilia in history, and they’ve deemed the shirts Leeds wore ahead of their game against Liverpool as being worthy of being displayed.
The shirts caused a lot of controversy last week, with Jurgen Klopp speaking out about the fact they were left in his team’s dressing room, and that’s something the Leeds fanbase haven’t forgotten.
Indeed, some United fans took this opportunity to mock Klopp’s anger with the shirts, claiming that he won’t be happy that they’re now being put in the museum, while others were happy to see that their club’s contribution has been recognised.
The Super League debacle will certainly go down in history as one of the most interesting periods of modern football news, and Leeds certainly played a huge part in the narrative by protesting against the idea with these shirts.
