Liverpool supporters lauded Yves Bissouma’s performance for Brighton on Wednesday night as Graham Potter’s men recorded a deserved 1-0 win at Anfield.
After going 68 Premier League games unbeaten on home soil, Liverpool have now lost back-to-back home matches and are in the middle of some worrying form.
Whilst Liverpool fans will be left frustrated with their team’s performance, they were mightly impressed with what they saw from the opposition.
One man, in particular, stood out – the midfield machine, Bissouma, who according to the Liverpool fans bossed the game from the middle of the park.
With Gini Wijnaldum’s future still up in the air, Liverpool fans would like to see Bissouma replace their technical Dutchman in the summer if he leaves.
But Football Club did previously report that those at Brighton value their player at £25 million.
But surely his value will only increase given the performances he is putting in the Premier League this season?
Luckily for Liverpool supporters, the Sunday Mirror did report (13/12/20, page 73) that Bissouma is on their wishlist.
Well, he couldn’t have done more to win over his admirers at Anfield if that is the case because he produced a Man of the Match display.
