Andy Robertson has been speaking to Tubes and Soccer AM recently, where he dished the dirt on what one teammate is like in training.

Specifically, the Scotland international was talking about ‘rondos’ – a drill in which some players form a circle and try to keep the ball, as one or two try to win it back in the middle.

When asked what he’s like in rondos, the Jürgen Klopp signing said: “Ox has it in for me, to be honest. Yesterday was probably my best performance in a rondo that I’ve ever done.

“I walked off there thinking I was the man, but unfortunately I don’t get that feeling a lot! I’m usually running about in the middle like a headless chicken. I’m not the best at them, I’ll give him that, but he’s not exactly Xabi Alonso at them either, to be fair!”

It seems like Robertson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have great chemistry and an excellent sense of humour between them at Anfield.

In our view, we just hope that the England international can keep himself fit, and get back to the level he was once playing at.

A gruesome knee ligament injury in the Champions League semi-final win over Roma in 2018 completely derailed the 27-year-old’s Liverpool career.

The £35 million man fought back and earned a Premier League winners medal last term, scoring four goals as Liverpool won their first ever Premier League.

Sadly, this season, Liverpool’s No.15 has only managed to start two Premier League games, as he struggles to find fitness and form.

From a chemistry aspect, however, his morale and energy always seems to stand him in good stead with his teammates.

Oxlade-Chamberlain appears to be a hugely popular squad member, and if he can get his body fit again, there’s no reason why his big personality won’t help him rediscover his mojo on the pitch.
