Jurgen Klopp has intimated that Luis Diaz may be alright to play for Liverpool this weekend.
The Colombia international was involved in a friendly against Mexico in California on Wednesday night and only returned to England on Thursday.
And although the Liverpool manager hasn’t yet seen the South American attacker, he has shared what somebody has told him about the £49 million winger.
Klopp told the club’s official website: “Luis only landed Thursday morning. I didn’t see him yet. I heard he is good but [will] see him now only later.”

It’s a little depressing but Liverpool really do need Diaz against Brighton on Saturday.
Klopp’s side have only won two Premier League outings from a possible six this season and with Mohamed Salah in something of a funk, people like Diaz are additionally important.
He is charged with replacing Sadio Mane’s goals for the Reds going forward and although that’s proving a little difficult at the moment, he certainly has the capacity to be that player for Klopp.
In years gone by, Liverpool would’ve been able to see off sides like the Seagulls at Anfield without a fully-firing Salah, because Mane would invariably be there to deputise and carry the goalscoring burden.
But this season, there’s an extra pressure on Diaz to be that player when Salah is struggling and that’s why it’s important he faces Albion.
