Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he didn’t lay into his players last night, after they were beaten by Atalanta in the Champions League, as per his comments to BeIN Sports.
Liverpool were not at their best yesterday, as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat against Atalanta.
The Reds struggled to show their usual attacking drive, and even their pressing game looked laboured.
But Klopp did not want his side to dwell on the defeat, as he knows that they have another game coming up at 12:30 on Saturday against Brighton & Hove Albion.
“It doesn’t feel great, but it can’t be changed any more,” Klopp said.
“In 60 something hours we play again, so we have just have to be disappointed, I gave the boys 10 minutes and told them in the dressing room ‘feel the defeat, absolutely right, but then the recovery starts and we go again’.”

Liverpool’s team against Brighton is likely to be far more experienced, with some key players rested last night.
Klopp has complained about the schedule vociferously, though, as he feels that his side have not been given long enough to recover from their European exertions.
The Liverpool boss will now be hoping that no signs of fatigue are visible at the weekend.
The Reds have won relentlessly in the Premier League over the past three seasons, but they still cannot afford any slip-ups if they are to keep pace with the rest of the title contenders this term.
