Liverpool host Leicester City in the renovated Anfield this weekend.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says his players were stunned after seeing the new renovated Anfield stadium ahead of this weekend’s fixture with Leicester City, Sky Sports report.
The Merseyside club have expanded their Anfield home to hold a capacity of 54,074 supporters, adding an extra tier to one of the side stands which can now fit an extra 8,500 spectators.
Liverpool will be hopeful the extra attendance will help boost the atmosphere, and in turn make it more intimidating for opposing clubs which would no doubt be a bigger home advantage.

Klopp, speaking to reporters, says his new players are impressed by the new stand but those already at the club were stunned by the transformation over the summer.
“If anyone comes in here and thinks that this stadium doesn’t give us a chance to fight then they are dead – no emotions. They can’t feel this place,” Klopp told Sky Sports.
“The new players couldn’t really compare (to the old stand). For them it’s big, massive, impressive, but the other players walked out and they were stunned.”
“I couldn’t think how it would work. It was a big shock to see it – a good one – and it’s much better than I could’ve imagined.”

The Anfield renovation has forced the club to start the Premier League season with three straight away games, but the Reds have largely impressed, picking up four points from Arsenal, Burnley and Tottenham Hotspur.
Klopp will be hopeful his side’s form at Anfield can make the difference in terms of finishing in the top four, and their opening fixture sees them host reigning Premier League champions Leicester City.
Liverpool were one of only two teams to beat the Foxes last season, with the Reds winning 1-0 at Anfield.
