Liverpool welcome West Ham United to Anfield on Sunday.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with West Ham on Sunday, and delivered a potentially huge quadruple blow for his side as they prepare to welcome Manuel Pellergini’s men to Anfield, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
Many are expecting Liverpool to make a sustained push for the Premier League title this season, and they will be looking to get off to a great start with all three points against West Ham on Sunday.
They will have to do it the hard way, though, with many of their first-team defenders set to be out and unavailable for selection, according to Klopp.
The German sat down for his pre-match press conference today, and delivered a major quadruple blow ahead of his side’s clash with the Hammers at Anfield on Sunday, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:

“Dejan will not be available for the weekend, that’s how it is. We will see, we have no big issues but little things. We ask if it is a risk – and if it is a risk, do we take it? At the end, I’m pretty sure we have a fantastic football team on the pitch and hopefully I have to make a few decisions. It looks like a few players are not involved but that’s how it is. Ragnar (Klavan) no real chance, Joel (Matip) did parts of training like Joe (Gomez) did, we will see how they are today.”
Whilst the Reds have one of the best squads in the Premier League, if the four players mentioned are to miss Sunday’s game, they will be extremely thin on the ground form a defensive perspective, and West Ham fans will be delighted to have heard Klopp’s fitness update today.
