Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has told Goal that Virgil van Dijk ‘drives him crazy’ sometimes due to his relaxed attitude.
Van Dijk has played in every Premier League game for Liverpool this season, as they have claimed their first ever title.
With modern day managers often rotating their team, Van Dijk’s record as an ever present is particularly impressive.
And Klopp admits that Van Dijk has a tendency to take rests during games anyway to ensure he doesn’t waste too much energy.
“He takes his breaks in the games from time to time, which drives me crazy,” the Liverpool boss said.
“But I get it, I get it. It was his big target, I think, that he could do that again. Hopefully that will be possible for the rest of his career. That would be absolutely special.
“We’ve tried to rest him but it’s difficult. So far, it’s went well, and we hope it stays like this, but now he has two weeks off as well, so he doesn’t need more, I’m sure.”

Van Dijk’s form for Liverpool has been a major reason behind why they were able to win the league this year.
The 29-year-old has transformed Liverpool’s defence since arriving at Anfield, and made them look rock solid now.
Van Dijk actually signed off the season by scoring yesterday, as he helped Liverpool to a 3-1 victory over Newcastle United.
