Liverpool fans are expecting more from their team in the Premier League this season after last term’s disappointing eighth place finish.

In what is one of the most highly anticipated Premier League fixtures of the season so far, Liverpool take on Chelsea on Friday night, and Reds boss Jürgen Klopp spoke to the Liverpool Echo, describing how he wants his players to deal with Diego Costa.
The Merseyside outfit currently sit sixth in the league, and a win by a margin of two goals or more tomorrow night will see them leap-frog the Blues in the table.
Klopp was speaking to the Liverpool Echo, and outlined how he want his defenders to deal with Chelsea’s star striker:

“Being aggressive is important against Costa. If you are in a friendly game mood then you have no chance.”
The Spain international struggled for form and goals last term, but he already looks like he is back to his best, and seems to be flourishing under the guidance of new boss Antonio Conte.
He has scored four goals in four league appearances for Chelsea this season, and has proved to be constant menace in every outing.

Klopp labeled the former Atletico Madrid man as ‘world-class’, but suggested that it will be just as important for his own attacking stars to perform on the day:
“He is a real warrior on the pitch. He uses his body all the time – that is his quality. World class. Taking Diego out of the game makes sense but even then our players can create moments so there are a lot more things to do than only think about Diego Costa.”
Tomorrow night’s game will be the second Friday night game of the Premier League season, and will kick-off at 8pm.
