Liverpool signed the youngster for a bargain fee this summer.

Jurgen Klopp spoke to reporters last night, and raved about the quality of new signing Sepp van den Berg, admitting he was surprised when he saw how tall the youngster was, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
The Reds signed the 17-year-old from PEC Zwolle earlier this month for a fee that could eventually rise to £4.4 million, according to BBC Sport.
With Liverpool’s defence, the Dutch teenager is unlikely to receive much game-time next season, but he is undoubtedly one for the future.
Reds fans will be hoping that Van den Berg goes on to emulate his countryman and new teammate Virgil van Dijk.
And Klopp absolutely raved about the Holland under-19 international when speaking to reporters last night, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:

“He’s a nice fella and a good footballer, but we knew that before, which is why we signed him. But I’d only seen videos of him so it surprised me when he stood in front of me and was taller than me – that doesn’t happen too often in my life. He’s a wonderful boy and he decided to join us, which is good. With Sepp, he’s just an outstanding talent.”
Van den Berg will most likely be given chances to impress for Liverpool in the domestic cup competitions next season.
And judging by Klopp’s comments, the centre-back could very well go on to become a real star at Anfield.
