Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he and all of the Liverpool players still miss Adam Lallana.

The 32-year-old left the Reds this past summer after his contract expired on Merseyside.

Lallana, who joined Liverpool from Southampton back in 2014, was a brilliant servant for the club and a lot of supporters were disappointed to see him go, even if releasing him was the right choice.

The England international ultimately joined Brighton & Hove Albion on a £90,000-a-week Bosman deal and the Seagulls are Liverpool’s next opponents.

And speaking ahead of tomorrow’s clash, Klopp said via The Echo: “We still miss him, but it’s not easy to because everyone is still in contact with him. Not this week so much! A friend for life for all of us. Don’t know if he can play, he hasn’t told anyone. I know the friendship is aside [during game].”

Lallana has been suffering with a groin injury as of late and how he would love to be fit in time for the Liverpool clash.

There’ll be no Liverpool fans present inside the Amex Stadium tomorrow, but he’d still love the chance to face his former team-mates.

The attacking midfielder, who can also play on the wing, has started seven of Albion’s nine Premier League games so far this season.

One silver lining to leaving Klopp’s side is the renewed feeling of playing every week and there’s no doubt that Lallana himself will be happy with his situation right now.
