Leeds United fans were left fuming at Marcelo Bielsa getting booked for protesting at the fourth official during their EFL Cup tie against Fulham on Tuesday night.
With 15 minutes left on the clock, a raging Bielsa was unhappy at how the officials were dealing with Stuart McKinstry’s substitution.
The Leeds boss didn’t like that McKinstry wasn’t being brought on in a timely enough manner and he let the powers that be know exactly how he felt.
But that frustration earned him a yellow card, with Leeds eventually going on to win the tie via a penalty shootout.
In the end, Bielsa would have, no doubt, been pleased that his team got the job done and put their name in the hat for the next round.
But Leeds supporters did compare that situation to when Jurgen Klopp went on the Elland Road pitch a couple of weeks ago.
Many felt that the Liverpool boss was trying to get Pascal Struijk sent off for his unfortunate tackle on Harvey Elliott that has left him with a long-term injury.
But the on-field referee didn’t send Struijk off straight away, it wasn’t until he saw Elliott’s ankle and Klopp was on the pitch that he then took action.
At the time, it left Leeds fans annoyed because they thought their player was being persuaded to get sent off, and nothing happened to Klopp going onto the field.
Yet, Bielsa was booked yesterday for something minute compared to what they saw a couple of weeks ago and the challenges that were being made on their players from Fulham players last night.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Leeds fans reacting to Bielsa going into the referee’s book at Craven Cottage:
