Liverpool will want to get back to winning ways on Thursday, and they have a great opportunity to do just that as they face Burnley at Anfield.
The Reds haven’t been on top form as of late, but a game against a struggling Burnley side represents a great chance for the Merseyside outfit to get back on track.
Unfortunately, the injury crisis that has plagued Liverpool all season means that they won’t be able to field their strongest side, with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez both out of action.
However, Liverpool have had some good news on that front this week, with Jurgen Klopp confirming that Joel Matip is back in full training, and with that news in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting the Reds’ starting XI for this one.

This is about as strong a Liverpool team as you’re likely to see for the remainder of the season.
Usually a midweek game against Burnley would see Klopp rotate his side, especially with a match against Manchester United in the FA Cup on the horizon, but Liverpool’s recent form suggests that they’ll be desperate for a win here.
The back five is slightly different to the one we saw at the weekend as Matip returns in the place of Henderson, who has moved back into the midfield.
With Henderson freed up to play his natural position, Klopp has to make a decision on dropping a midfielder, and as harsh as it is, we think Xherdan Shaqiri may miss out here, despite the fact he had a stellar game against Manchester United at the weekend.
There are no prizes for guessing Liverpool’s front three for this one as the reliable trio of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino start here.
