Liverpool face Brighton on Saturday afternoon in their first Premier League game in almost a month.

The Reds have been out of action since the Merseyside derby, and after such a poor start to the season, they will be hoping that this break in the season will allow them to reset and get back to their best.

After a lengthy break, Liverpool land back into quite an interesting fixture on Saturday as they prepare to face Brighton.

The Seagulls have been flying high this season, but there are some serious question marks around whether or not they’ll be able to maintain this form after losing Graham Potter.

Roberto de Zerbi is the new man in charge at the Amex, but it remains to be seen whether or not this will be a new manager bounce or a post-Potter struggle.

With all of that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting the Reds’ starting XI for this one.

We think that Liverpool will make just one change from the team that beat Ajax in the Champions League last time out.

Darwin Nunez is handed another opportunity to start in the Premier League, and he leads the line in place of Diogo Jota.

The rest of the team remains the same as the side that triumphed in Europe last time out.

The backline is almost at full strength, but Kostas Tsimikas starts ahead of Andy Robertson due to the Scot’s injury.

Fabinho and Thiago start in midfield, but, once again, Harvey Elliott gets the nod over Jordan Henderson after winning the Reds’ Player of the Month award this week.

Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah start alongside Nunez as the Merseyside club’s frontline look to spark a bit of form after a slow start this season.
