Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Leeds United on Sky Sports Premier League (8:15pm, August 28, 2021) following the match against Chelsea.

Klopp’s Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw with Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea at Anfield in the Premier League yesterday.

Liverpool will face Leeds away from home at Elland Road in the league after the international break.

Klopp said on Sky Sports Premier League (8:15pm, August 28, 2021): “On Sunday, we play Leeds United.

“That’s now one of the most intense games in the world of football because they run like mad. To get even a little advantage, you have to put a proper shift in.”

Huge praise

Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and Klopp is a world-class manager.

Klopp’s aforementioned comments show just highly Leeds are rated in the footballing community.

The Whites play a high-intensity and high-pressing game under head coach Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds do tend to lose big, like they did against Manchester United this season, but they are hugely entertaining to watch and do not give up until the final whistle.

Any team who want to win or even draw against Leeds, and that includes Liverpool, will have to work extremely hard and have to earn the points.

Leeds are unlikely to challenge for the Europa League or the Champions League places in the Premier League table this season, but they are going to give each and every team in the division a run for their money.
