Speaking on the House Of Champions Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has shared what he knows about Liverpool and the race to sign Jude Bellingham.
It’s no secret that the Reds want the England midfielder in the summer, but, as we all know, this is going to be a transfer race for the ages.
Indeed, almost every big club in Europe wants Bellingham, and the winner of this race will have to work so hard to secure the teenager’s signature.
According to Romano, Liverpool are doing just that. The journalist actually said that he’s told that Jurgen Klopp is making calls almost every day about this potential signing.

Klopp working hard
Romano shared what he knows about this situation.
“He’s an unbelievable player, but I think it’s going to be very difficult for Borussia Dortmund to keep Jude Bellingham for another season. Behind the scenes the situation is crazy. All of the big clubs are moving. I’m told that Jurgen Klopp is calling almost everyday to ask about updates on the situation of Jude Bellingham,” Romano said.
“For sure, Chelsea will go for an important midfielder, Bellingham is a player they appreciate. Manchester City are in the race, Real Madrid are following the situation. It is a big fight.”
Doing the legwork
Klopp is seemingly doing everything he can behind the scenes to get Bellingham to Liverpool, but perhaps what the Reds do on the pitch between now and the end of the season is more important.
Make no mistake about it, Bellingham will be wanting to play Champions League football next season, and if Liverpool’s form doesn’t improve drastically very soon, they will not be playing in UEFA’s top competition next year.
You can never write Liverpool off, but if they can’t finish in the top four this term, it’s hard to see them winning this transfer race.
