Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are in concrete talks to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton, according to a report.
Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported on Twitter that Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal all are interested in signing Romeo Lavia from Southampton in the summer transfer window.
The reporter has claimed the Barcelona want the 19-year-old Belgium international defensive midfielder as well.
Southampton, who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League, are ready to sell Lavia, but they want £50 million in transfer fees.
Plettenberg has added that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of Lavia, and that the Merseyside club are having “concrete talks” to sign the youngster.
Should Liverpool pay £50m for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia?
In our opinion, Liverpool should not pay £50 million in transfer fees to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton.

Yes, there is competition from Arsenal and Chelsea, but we believe that the Reds would be over-paying for Lavia if they coughed up £50 million.
After all, Lavia only 19 now and, let’s be honest, he has done well for only a few months in the Premier League.
And Southampton were relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season.
We believe that Liverpool should try to get a deal done for between £30 million and £40 million and perhaps include add-ons to convince Southampton.
