Cody Gakpo seems to have enjoyed a rapid start to life at Liverpool.
Well, behind the scenes at least.
Earlier today, Ibrahima Konate revealed to Liverpool’s website that the new £37 million signing is already looking ‘comfortable’ in training, as covered by HITC Sport.
And now Jurgen Klopp, the Reds boss, has expanded on that somewhat.
Gakpo joined the Anfield outfit from PSV Eindhoven a little earlier this month and Liverpool supporters will be desperate to see what he can do in their shirt going forward.

And going by Klopp’s latest comments, it would appear he has started well at Kirkby, describing him as a ‘joy to watch’ during training sessions.
He told a press conference, as quoted by talkSPORT: “Cody has been in for two training days and it’s a joy to watch, to be honest.”
This is what Liverpool fans will want to hear.
Remember, Klopp is already without Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz, meaning that it’s quite important for Gakpo to hit the ground running.
You can’t put too much pressure on him, of course, but the Reds’ defeat by Brentford this week has thrown up further doubts that Klopp’s side will qualify for the Champions League.
Really, Liverpool need Gakpo to enjoy a fast and furious start to life in England but going by how he’s looking in training, that seems possible.
