West Ham United have been linked with Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in the January transfer window.

It has also been reported by the British tabloid that Sturridge is ready to leave the Reds next month in order to play regularly in the second half of the season to book a place in the England squad for the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia next summer.
“Former Chelsea and Manchester City star Sturridge could now look at a loan move abroad in the second half of the season, with Liverpool looking to get his £125,000-a-week wages covered,” states the report in The Sun.

Good news for West Ham United?
According to a report in The Daily Mail last month, West Ham United are interested in signing Sturridge from Liverpool in the January transfer window.
It has been reported that the Hammers have considered the England international striker.

The 28-year-old is a brilliant striker, but the main problem with the former Chelsea man in recent years has been injuries. Moreover, would West Ham be willing to pay Sturridge £125,000 per week as wages?
The Hammers do have some good attacking players, but someone like Sturridge would enhance their quality even more.
The London club, though, should opt only for a loan deal and should not sign the England international on a permanent deal.
