Jurgen Klopp has this morning confirmed a positive injury boost for Liverpool.

The Premier League champions, who sit seventh in the table, have a tricky game away to Arsenal on Sunday evening.

Roberto Firmino hasn’t kicked a ball for Liverpool in a month due to injury, with his last game being the 1-0 defeat by Chelsea at Anfield.

But Klopp has just confirmed that the Brazilian forward is indeed fit to face the Gunners this weekend.

Even if Firmino – a £29 million signing in 2015 – hasn’t played a huge role in Liverpool’s season, his return to fitness is absolutely good news.

At this stage of the campaign, it’s all about results more than performances and Firmino is certainly capable of providing game-changing moments of magic.

Diogo Jota will start against Arsenal – and against Real Madrid in the Champions League next week – but what a player Klopp has in reserve.

Yes, he doesn’t score bags of goals, but he’s a magician all the same and one who could yet play a massive role in turning their season around.
