Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday.
Ahead of the game, Klopp has said that City are the best team on the planet.
The Liverpool boss has also suggested how his team plan to stop City and Norway international striker Haaland.
Klopp has said that Liverpool need to stop the former Borussia Dortmund star from getting too many balls.
Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp on Manchester City’s Erling Haaland
The Liverpool boss said: “We will give it a try with Anfield behind us against the best team in the world.”
Klopp added: “Probably best striker in the world so we have to make sure he doesn’t get many balls. That’s what we will try.
“Against City is if you close Haaland down with too many players you open up gaps for all the other world-class players. Doesn’t make life easier.”

Easier said than done
In our view, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s plan regarding Erling Haaland may not work against Manchester City.
Yes, if Haaland does not get the ball, then he will not be dangerous.
However, City have some great attacking players who will find the striker.
It is inevitable that the likes of Bernando Silva, Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne will find Haaland.
We have seen that Haaland can score goals from a few touches; he does not need too many chances to find the back of the net.
Moreover, the striker can create chances and can provide assists, like he did against Manchester United.
