Jurgen Klopp told BBC Sport that Adrian pulled off a ‘world-class’ save after five minutes of Liverpool’s 2-0 win at Sheffield United on Sunday.
The moment Klopp was making reference to was when Liverpool back-up keeper saved David McGoldrick’s header from close blank range following a set-piece situation.
Even though Chris Wilder’s side are sitting bottom of the Premier League table, they put up some serious fight in that first half and made life difficult for the champions.
After the game, Klopp hailed Adrian’s performance, who was drafted in late after Alisson Becker was given time off for personal reasons.
“I have to mention Adrian because he obviously got the information yesterday that he will play and he showed pure class and character,” said Klopp.
“He showed what kind of personality he is. It’s really good. I am really happy for him that he could have that performance.
“As you saw, the set-pieces are awful for a goalkeeper because five, six players around you and still have to come. You still have to try and get your fists on the ball.
“And he did that! He was very front-footed He had a world-class save in the first half I think from a yard or so. That was a really good game.”

From Alisson’s standpoint, it was a much-needed clean sheet on his behalf because he needed that and so did Liverpool’s newly-formed centre-back partnership.
Whilst it’s obvious that Sheffield United are heading towards the Championship, an even tougher test awaits Liverpool in the form of Chelsea on Thursday night.
Whilst Chelsea haven’t been blitzing teams since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival, they are still unbeaten and heading towards that top four.
