It’s transfer deadline day and while Liverpool’s transfer business was reportedly done and dusted months ago, there’s a growing feeling that one final signing could be on the cards on Thursday.
Indeed, Liverpool’s lack of midfield depth has led to a number of questions about whether or not another body is needed in that area.
Jurgen Klopp himself has suggested that some business could be done, and there’s been no shortage of rumours as the likes of Moises Caicedo and Douglas Luiz have been linked.
With the midfield issue in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting the Reds’ potential post-Deadline Day starting XI.

We’re predicting that Jurgen Klopp will be handed a new midfield signing on the final day as Konrad Laimer comes in to replace Jordan Henderson in our team.
Interestingly, we’ve got Harvey Elliott playing in the midfield ahead of Henderson in this side after his blockbuster start to the season.
A move for Laimer would make the world of sense at this point. His move to Bayern Munich is stalling, he’s in the final year of his contract, and he’s apparently open to a Premier League move.
Laimer would be brilliant in this all-action midfield, while he could also provide depth at right-back if Trent Alexander-Arnold picks up any form of injury.
Laimer’s ability at right-back would also make him a great fit for that Henderson role which would see him drift out wide often to either cover for Alexander-Arnold or aid Mo Salah and create an overload down the flank.
Darwin Nunez also comes back into our XI after his suspension as the only other summer signing that starts in this side.
Whether or not we see this team in the coming months remains to be seen, but Liverpool are certainly a team to watch out for on deadline day.
