Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said on ITV (8:11pm, March 20, 2022) that Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino should have passed the ball to Diogo Jota for an easy goal against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Klopp’s Liverpool have got the better of Championship club Forest 1-0 in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup this evening.
Portugal international forward Jota scored the winner in the 78th minute.
However, according to Klopp, Liverpool could have won by a more comfortable margin had Firmino, a £29 million Brazil international forward (BBC Sport), passed the ball to Jota earlier in the game.

Klopp said: “I thought in the first half we should have scored the sitter. Bobby, that’s really unlikely for him that he doesn’t square the ball, Diogo is in a good position. That would have helped.”
Big semi-final tie
Liverpool will take on Premier League title rivals Manchester City in the semi-finals of the FA Cup this season.

It is a mouth-watering tie.
Both Liverpool and City are aiming to win the Premier League and the Champions League this season.
And now the Reds and the Citizens will now clash in the FA Cup.
It is really hard to call, but Liverpool will have to play much better than they did against Forest if they are to get the better of Pep Guardiola’s side.
