Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting to Ki-Jana Hoever’s performance against Southampton in the FA Cup.
The young defender was arguably Wolves’ best player in their 2-0 loss, getting plaudits from supporters and earning the highest WhoScored rating of any of the home team’s players.
It seemingly wasn’t only Wolves fans who took notice of what Hoever was doing on Thursday evening, as a number of Liverpool fans took to Twitter to discuss their former player.
Unfortunately, it seems as though a lot of the reaction was negative, and rather than being happy for their former player doing so well, the supporters were kicking themselves and blaming the club for letting him go.
Some fans said they couldn’t understand why he was sold and Neco Williams was kept, while other sections of the fanbase were hoping that he could be brought back, with one fan even saying he hopes they have a buy-back clause, while another claimed that he’s now worth £20m.
Hoever clearly made an impression on these supporters, and they don’t seem to happy with the fact he’s no longer their player.
