The duo are likely to miss Liverpool’s first pre-season game.

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp spoke to reporters ahead of his side’s first pre-season friendly game tomorrow, and delivered a worrying update on Adam Lallana and Joel Matip, as quoted by the Express.
The Reds kick off their pre-season campaign with a trip to non-league Chester tomorrow, as Klopp looks to get his group of players in tip-top shape ahead of the new Premier League campaign that kicks off next month.

Many expectLiverpool to make a real challenge for the league title this season, with Klopp having already spent big on midfield duo Naby Keita and Fabinho.
His business is far from being done, however, with the addition of a top class goalkeeper and another forward surely featuring highly on his agenda this summer.
The German already has a wonderfully strong group of players at his disposal, however, and many of them will feature away at Chester tomorrow.
Klopp spoke to reporters yesterday, and delivered a fitness update on two of his key men, as quoted by the Express:

“I think it’s a bit too early for Joel. He is in training, not doing all but in a few parts he’s doing more than the others. He’s not involved in football at the moment but from next week on he will be fully involved.”
“Adam Lallana will not be involved possibly, not sure. He’s a little bit ill, we have to see. I think Saturday will not be possible for him.”
The Liverpool boss will be hoping to have the two internationals back and fit for action as soon as possible, ahead of what will be once again another arduous and physically punishing campaign.
