Liverpool head to Chelsea tonight for a clash of two struggling Premier League titans.

The Reds will hope to bounce back from their 4-1 hammering at the hands of Manchester City.

Meanwhile, the now-managerless Blues will hope to stop the rot after losing to Aston Villa last time out.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will also have to look ahead to Sunday, with the Reds hosting Arsenal at Anfield.

With that in mind, Klopp may want to ring some changes at Stamford Bridge.

In the loss to Man City, Andrew Robertson struggled and ended up coming off midway through the second half.

The Scotland international is normally really consistent, but it just wasn’t his day on Saturday.

With that in mind, plus the weekend Arsenal game, Klopp could well look to start Kostas Tsimikas against Chelsea.

The 26-year-old usually does well when called upon, and really deserves more game time than he actually gets.

Admittedly, Tsimikas wasn’t a game-changer against the Citizens, but he certainly did better than Robertson.

This season, Tsimikas has made 23 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool, but just 12 have been starts.

The Greece international joined Liverpool for just under £12million in August 2020.

To date, he has made 56 outings for the Reds.

This is a relatively low amount considering he’s approaching the three-year mark.

Nonetheless, Tsimikas remains professional and just gets on with it, stepping up when needed.

He is also popular in the Reds dressing room. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain jokingly described him as “a bit crazy” in 2021.

Hopefully, with the Arsenal game on the horizon, Klopp opts to give Tsimikas a chance against Chelsea.

Besides, when Robertson under-performs, he shouldn’t automatically keep his place.

Klopp should start making it clear that other players will be rewarded with opportunities in this case.
