Everyone knows Liverpool are struggling this season.
Jurgen Klopp has only overseen two Premier League victories out of a possible six and one of those was a last-second winner from Fabio Carvalho at home to Newcastle.
Overall, Liverpool look a shadow of the team that came relatively close to winning four trophies last season.
And so much of that is down to the fact that the Reds are struggling in a major way to keep their best midfielders fit, with Thiago Alcantara, Jordan Henderson, Carvalho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and Curtis Jones all suffering injuries thus far.
With that in mind, people tend to forget that Klopp is also missing Ibrahima Konate but the German manager could potentially welcome him back in the first XI very soon.

The Liverpool boss told reporters that the former Red Bull Leipzig powerhouse – who hasn’t kicked a ball yet this season – would be back ‘in and around the international break‘ and that’s right now.
Of course, Klopp might not unleash him immediately and may opt to give him minutes with the Under-21s, as he’s been doing with Arthur Melo and Carvalho recently.
But Konate – who cost £36 million in 2021 – and Virgil van Dijk was Liverpool’s primary defensive pairing for most of last season and it can only be a good thing that he’s firmly on the comeback trail, even if he isn’t a midfielder.
The Anfield outfit host Brighton & Hove Albion next Saturday.
