Liverpool round off their pre-season campaign with a clash at home to Osasuna tonight.

The Reds welcomed Athletic Bilbao to Anfield on Sunday in their penultimate friendly of the summer, drawing 1-1.

But there’s one more clash to go before Liverpool can begin preparing for their Premier League opener away to Norwich City on Saturday.

And although Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that nobody who started last night will feature tonight, he did confirm that Irish goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher would start.

Klopp told Liverpool’s official website: “Nobody who started today will be involved tomorrow, that’s clear. But there’s still a great team, a lot of people – top, top players. We have only top players involved.

“It will be a last line – Caoimhin Kelleher will be in the goal and then in front of him will be a really strong defensive line.”

Redemption

The 22-year-old will be out to prove a point to his manager.

That’s because Kelleher hasn’t played for Liverpool since their defeat by Hertha Berlin last month.

Klopp suggested to the club’s official website after the game that the young keeper was responsible for the first goal that the Reds conceded on the night.

And although it wasn’t a major criticism, because all Kelleher really did was fail to come and collect a deep cross, the youngster will be game to offer a much better effort this time around.
