Jürgen Klopp has ripped into Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder after Liverpool drew 1-1 against Brighton earlier today.

The Blades manager had previously labelled the German as a ‘world class politician’ who only cares about his own side, while also branding him ‘selfish’ in regards to his complaints about the fixture schedule as the Daily Mail reported.

In an interview with BT Sport’s Des Kelly at the Amex Stadium, Klopp let rip.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss said: ‘Wilder or whoever, constantly say I’m selfish. I think all the things show that he’s selfish but that’s not too important. They now have three subs and one point.’

To hit back at Wilder by saying ‘all the things’ he says are selfish, before going on to mock the fact that Sheffield United only have one point this season, made for incredible viewing.

Klopp is quite clearly livid following his side’s draw to Brighton, and he’s does have a right to be, given the Reds’ congested fixture list.

Liverpool played Atalanta late on Wednesday before facing Brighton early today, and face Ajax late on Tuesday as well. That means Klopp’s side will have had three fixtures in six days, which is quite the workload.

Despite this, we can’t imagine that Wilder will be too pleased after hearing what the German had to say about him.

One thing is for certain – the Blades boss’ next press conference should make for interesting viewing, to say the least.
