‘Klopp after hearing this’: Some rival fans stunned by comments from West Ham man

Rival fans have been left stunned after West Ham boss, David Moyes, claimed that Nigel Pearson could have ‘easily’ been a contender for manager of the year, as he told BBC Sport.

Relegation-threatened Watford sacked Pearson over the weekend after his side had suffered a costly 3-1 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium only days earlier.

It means that the Hornets have sacked three managers this season, and are potentially heading for the drop.

Moyes, who had a similar task to Pearson when he was appointed in East London, suggested, after the Englishman’s sacking, that he was ‘amazed’ by that decision.

Whilst there was widespread surprise at Pearson’s sacking. Other fans don’t think he was manager of the year worthy.

The likes of Jurgen Klopp, who has guided Liverpool to their first league title in 30 years, and Sheffield United’s, Chris Wilder, will more than likely be top of everyone’s list.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of rival supporters reacting to Moyes’ comments:
