Jurgen Klinsmann told Stadium Astro that reported Liverpool target Erling Haaland is a ‘very, very exciting youngster’.
The German legend back the Dortmund star to play a ‘major role’ in world football for the next 10-15 years.
Liverpool supporters will no doubt hope that he plays some role at their club in the near future because his name has been touted with the Anfield giants.
Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth did previously claim that the thriving 20-year-old would be interested in a move to Liverpool, with the Merseyside giants thought to be one of the clubs, alongside Manchester City, chasing his signature.
Nonetheless, Klinsmann thinks the only way is up for the Leeds-born star, who might be gracing the Premier League in the near future.
“A 20-year-old with so much determination, so much drive and so much hunger for goals,” said Klinsmann. “He can score them with his left, right and with headers.
“He’s a good presence. He can hold up the ball and bring his teammates into play. And he has some very, very good teammates around him.
“It’s admirable what he’s already doing for his national team, scoring goals there also. It’s wonderful to see such a young striker on the rise that could play a major role in the next 10-15 years, hopefully, for him in European and world football.
“He’s very, very exciting and already a top class youngster.”

Given Liverpool’s current situation, it doesn’t help their cause in wanting to sign players such as Haaland in the summer if he is on their wishlist.
Liverpool are, at this moment in time, heading down a road where there is no European football for them next season, which is a major problem for the Premier League champions.
Many feel that their front three needs refreshing and a player like Haaland would more than definitely take them to the next level if he were to join in the summer.
