New Liverpool signing Ragnar Klavan has told the Daily Telegraph that it took a selfie from Jurgen Klopp to convince him the Reds were genuinely interested in him this summer.
The Estonian defender moved to Anfield earlier this summer in a move from German side Augsburg.
He has been brought in as a replacement for duo Kolo Toure and Martin Skrtel who have both been allowed to leave the club.

The move was something of a left field one from Klopp, with only fans of the Bundesliga likely to be aware of him before his arrival on Merseyside.
And Klavan has explained even he was surprised by the move, saying it took a selfies from Klopp to convince him it was genuine.
“Jurgen sent me a selfie to prove it was him,” he told the Daily Telegraph.
“At first I couldn’t believe it. It was my dream to play in the Premier League for 22 years. Then you are told you not only have a chance to do it, but it is Liverpool.”

It will be interesting to see what role that Klavan has to play in the Reds team moving forward.
He has started two of their three games so far but while Klopp has insisted he will be a first-team regular, it is hard to see him being used ahead of Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren when they are fit.
However, that is far from certain given how there is still doubt about what Liverpool’s best options are in defence.
