Celtic face Hibernian this weekend in the Scottish League Cup final at Hampden Park, and Moussa Dembele has tweeted his support for his former club.
The Olympique Lyonnais striker, who left Glasgow in 2018 for a reported fee of £20m, was one of the club’s best players during his time with Celtic, with Dembele winning the Scottish League Cup twice with the Hoops, as well as two league titles.
Indeed, the French striker was a fan favourite at Celtic Park, and ahead of the 2021 Scottish League Cup final, Dembele posted a five-word tweet in support of his former club.
Celtic head into today’s final against Hibernaina with a squad that have been blighted by injuries in recent weeks. The likes of Kyogo Furuhashi, Jota and James Forrest are all out as Ange Postecoglou looks to win his first piece of silverware in Scotland.
Whilst Celtic remain the favourites to win the Scottish League Cup, Hibernian will be no easy test for the Glasgow giants. However, former player Dembele sounded confident in the Hoops getting a result.
The Ligue 1 star posted: “Good luck for the final,” and Celtic fans on social media love that Dembele is showing his support for his former club ahead of the Scottish League Cup final.
