Former Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez could soon be made a free agent by Inter Milan if reports are to be believed.
According to Inter Live, the reigning Serie A champions are close to terminating the Chilean’s contract. As per the report, two Spanish clubs are keen on Sanchez in Sevilla and Real Betis.
The attacker joined Inter from Manchester United in 2019. However, Sanchez has failed to remain fit during his two seasons in Italy. The forward also couldn’t find regular first-team minutes.
With Salary Sport reporting that the 31-year-old forward earns roughly £187,000-a-week, it’s no wonder that Inter are eager to get Sanchez off their wage bill.
The Italian giants had to sell the likes of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku for huge fees over the summer to offset some of the financial problems the club have built up over the years.
And offloading Sanchez could be the next big play Inter make in returning to financial stability. Indeed, whilst Spain appears to be the next destination for the winger, some Arsenal fans on social media are eager for the attacker to return to north London.
After all, Arsenal have struggled to score goals this season, with the Gunners hitting just two in the Premier League this campaign. Moreover, Sanchez played alongside Mikel Arteta during their time together with the club.
