A number of Kilmarnock and Motherwell fans have taken to Twitter to react to the reports emerging from the Daily Record this week suggesting that both clubs are interested in Celtic defender Jack Hendry.

Hendry has endured a miserable spell since arriving at Celtic in a deal the Daily Record reports cost the Hoops around £1.5 million during the 2018 January transfer window.

The centre-back has not played for the club since Neil Lennon returned for his second spell in charge, and it appears that he could now be on his way out of Parkhead before the transfer window closes.

The Daily Record reports that a switch to Hull City fell through earlier in the summer, and Killie and Well are now considering making their own moves. However, it is added that both clubs would need Celtic to pay a large chunk of the 24-year-old’s wages.

Despite his struggles at Celtic, it appears that plenty of supporters would be keen to see their clubs make a move. Certainly, the Killie supporters on social media believe that he could be a very good addition to Angelo Alessio’s side.

The Motherwell fans on Twitter appear to be a little more divided over whether he would improve Stephen Robinson’s squad. The two sides have collected one point between them across the first two weekends of the season – though, neither side’s defensive record is particularly alarming at this stage – so it would be little surprise if the supporters of both clubs wanted to see additions made before the window shuts.
