Manchester City star Phil Foden has raved about Chelsea midfielder and reported Liverpool target Mason Mount in The Times.

Chelsea midfielder Mount, who has been linked with Liverpool, is part of the England squad for the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.

City midfielder Foden is also part of Gareth Southgate’s side, and so is Leicester City playmaker James Maddison.

According to The Guardian, Liverpool are tracking Mount and are interested in signing the England international midfielder from Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Foden said: “We’ve got some great players in this team.

“I like Mase a lot and Madders as well, the way he plays. Players who can receive it in the pocket on the half-turn and can make the killer pass or shoot from distance.”

Making the Reds better

In our view, Mason Mount would be a brilliant signing for Liverpool and would make Jurgen Klopp’s side better.

The £76,000-a-week (SalarySport) England international is a very versatile player who can play in central midfield, attacking midfielder or on the wing.

Mount is a very dynamic who can drive the team forward, scores goals and creates chances.

The 23-year-old has scored two goals and given two assists in 13 Premier League starts for Chelsea so far this season.

Mount has given one assist in five UEFA Champions League starts for the Blues so far this campaign.
