Some Arsenal fans on social media have been criticising Mikel Arteta’s decision to take Martin Odegaard off against Burnley.

The Gunners struggled to break the Lancashire outfit down on Saturday afternoon, scoring just once as they were held to a draw at Turf Moor.

The London outfit attempted to roll the dice by bringing Alexandre Lacazette on for Odegaard with just under half an hour to go, but Gunners fans believe that was the wrong decision.

Some supporters claimed that Odegaard coming off saw Arsenal struggle to create chances, and while Odegaard is a very creative player, we can’t help but question that point of view.

After Odegaard was taken off, Arsenal should have had a penalty, had a shot cleared off the line and saw Nicolas Pepe miss a sitter, so creativity wasn’t really an issue there.

Alexandre Lacazette wasn’t incredible effective after coming on, so perhaps Odegaard coming off was the wrong decision.

The Arsenal fanbase certainly believe it was the wrong call, and here’s what they’ve been saying on social media…
