The Mirror are reporting that Kiko Casilla is leaving Leeds United for Elche in the summer transfer window.
What’s the story?
It is being reported today that Casilla wants to play first-team football again.
That’s why the former Real Madrid goalkeeper is on the verge of joining Spanish club Elche on loan.
The 34-year-old was a back-up to Illan Meslier last season and does not want to spend another campaign warming the substitutes’ bench.
The Leeds no.13 made three appearances in the Premier League and one in the FA Cup last season.
The report has added that Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa values the Spaniard’s ‘experience and professionalism’ highly and will be ‘sad’ to see him leave.
Who will replace Kiko Casilla?
The Mirror claims that Leeds director of football Victor Orta thinks that he has already found a replacement for Casilla.
Orta may move for another goalkeeper who is young like Meslier.

Sensible move?
Meslier is only 21, but the Frenchman has established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for Leeds.
It is unlikely that the youngster will lose his place in the Leeds starting lineup next season.
Not spending a lot of money on a back-up goalkeeper would make sense for Leeds.
