Leeds confirmed the signing of Casilla on Thursday morning.

Kiko Casilla has told Leeds United’s official Twitter account that he is excited to be working under Marcelo Bielsa after the Whites confirmed the signing of the goalkeeper from Real Madrid on Thursday morning.
Casilla, 32, became the club’s first signing of the January transfer window, after putting pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Championship leaders.
Leeds have been after a goalkeeper since Jamal Blackman broke his leg in an Under-23 match with the Whites, and has since returned to Chelsea – cancelling his season-long loan at Leeds early.
Following his confirmation, Leeds posted a short interview with Casilla on their official Twitter account in which the one-time Spain international spoke of how he is looking forward to working under Bielsa.
“I am really pleased to work with him [Bielsa], I have a lot of information from when he worked in Spain,” Casilla said. “I watched the teams when he worked there and spoke with the players who worked with him.
“They told me amazing things about him. I am really happy to work with him.”

Casilla is expected to become the club’s number one goalkeeper, with criticism coming in for current starter Bailey Peacock-Farrell for a number of the Northern Ireland international’s performances this season.
The three-time Champions League winner could make his debut for Leeds on Saturday, as the Whites travel south to Stoke-on-Trent to face Nathan Jones’ Stoke City side at the Britannia.
