Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier told Rio Ferdinand on ‘Vibe With Five’ that the best player he has ever played with in his career is former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Mousa Dembele.
This is not the first instance in which the English right-back has raved about his ex-Spurs teammate, as he once compared Joelinton to him almost a year ago. Even Gabby Agbonlahor once said that the Lilywhites were yet to replace the Belgian international.
Rio Ferdinand, like the other hosts on the show was shocked as Kieran Trippier named Mousa Dembele above a number of other elite players he has shared a dressing room as well as a pitch with.

While assembling his dream 5-a-side team out of every player he has played with on ‘Vibe With Five’, Kieran Trippier named Mousa Dembele by instantly saying, “best player I’ve ever played with.”
Ferdinand replied in shock, “You’ve played with Harry Kane, [Luis] Suarez, all these guys!”
“Yeah, no, Mousa Dembele. Obviously, I’d put Harry Kane in that bracket but for me, he’s an absolute magician. Just absolutely frightening, Rio [Ferdinand]. On the ball, without the ball, he had everything. He had absolutely everything. Incredible.”
Mousa Dembele was an underrated phenomenon
During his time at Tottenham, Mousa Dembele did not always get the credit he deserved, which is why it’s nice to see Kieran Trippier lavish praise on to him, whilst in conversation with Rio Ferdinand.
However, Dembele’s teammates such as Dele Alli and Eric Dier always tend to laud him, as there is no box his game failed to tick, to put it simply enough.
Perhaps a dearth of silverware at club and international level makes several fans and pundits take a truly special player for granted.
