Defender was partly culpable for Tottenham’s draw with Burnley.

Spurs could only draw at home to Burnley at the weekend, making it just four points out of a possible nine.
They were undone by a late goal from Chris Wood, for which right-back Trippier was partly culpable after failing to track the striker’s run.

Speaking after the game, Trippier admitted his frustration, commenting: “It’s one of those games. We were 1-0 up and they scored at the end which is very, very tough to take.
“We were in control from the start and we created a lot of chances which we just didn’t put away.
“You just need to keep working and working on the training field and the performances and the results will come.”

Trippier has assumed the role as first choice right-back at Tottenham after Kyle Walker’s departure, but he could find his place under pressure.
ESPN report Serge Aurier’s move to Spurs from PSG is ‘imminent’, with the Ivory Coast international set to challenge Trippier for his spot.
Trippier did not help his cause against Burnley, but the added competition could see him raise his game.
